Today will be a relaxing day for you. A Yangtze River cruise orientation will be given by the cruise guide after breakfast. Chongqing Qutang Gorge

This day the Yangtze River Cruise Ship will first enter Qutang Gorge, the beginning passage of the Three Gorges, which is the shortest but the grandest one. Later, we will pass the Wu Gorge with famous lofty and misty peaks on two sides. It is the largest and the longest gorge along the way. This gorge is full of craggy grotesque rocks, and the entire pass looks like a winding natural gallery.

Shennv Stream

Afterwards, you will disembark at Badong for an excursion to the Shennv Stream, which originates from the south slope of Shennongjia. You will take a pea boat ride drifting along the crystal stream to have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient hanging coffins and precious animals. Moreover, the unique songs of the local Tujia people will leave you a deep impression. After that, you will go back to the ship and continue the cruise to the west section of Xiling Gorge, which is famous for torrential water.

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area of Zhangjiajie

Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area , lying to the north of Zhangjiajie City, is a charming tourist attraction. It is one of the 40 famous scenic spots in China. It is said to be 'The ampliative miniascape and the contractible fairyland' and was admitted to the 'World Heritage List' in 1992. The Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area boasts of natural beauty where mountains, valleys, forests, caves, lakes and waterfalls exist in total harmony. Over 560 attraction sights can be found here. The strangely-shaped peaks, the absurd stones, the hidden valleys, the wonderful waters and the limestone caves form the 'Five Wonders' of Wulingyuan and they are really worth seeing. Covering an area of 690 square kilometers (266 square miles), Wulingyuan Scenic Area consists of four parts- Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxi Valley Nature Reserve, Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve and the newly added Yangjiajie Scenic Area. Today our tour will visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve area.

When you purchase the main park entrance tickets and take a shuttle bus(20 mins driving) to the Tianzi mountain cable station and need to walk up the 200 steps to reach the station.

Tianzi Mountain Clouds

After the 20 mins cable car ride, you will reach the top of the Tianzi mountain then take a shuttle bus again(5 mins driving) to the Tianzi Mountain central area which is provides stunning views of peaks, which rise one after another. It is known as 'the Monarch of the Peak Forest'. At the top of the mountain, visitors can see the full extent of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Beautiful scenes of the mountain greet visitors in different seasons. There are four wonders: the Sea of Clouds, the Radiance of the Moonlight, Rays of Sunshine and the Snow in winter.

BaiLong Elevator

After the Yuanjiajie(Avatar mountain), we will take a shuttle(15 mins driving) head to the Bailong Elevator. Bailong Elevator is very magnificent. The total height of it is 335 meters (1099 feet), of which the running height is 326 meters (1069 feet). 154 meters (505 feet) of the total height is in the mountain wells and the rest of 172 meters (564 feet) was composed of steel derrick and other components. The Elevator includes three exposure sightseeing elevators running parallelly. Each elevator can take 50 passengers every time and the speed is 3 m / s (the speed has been accelerated to 5m / s since 2013). If the three elevators run simultaneously, the amount of one-way passengers will reach 4,000 per hour.

Golden Whip Brook

You will hiking around one hour along the Golden Whip Stream then take a shuttle go out of the park and back to the hotel. Golden Whip Stream (Jinbian Stream) is famous for its pristine water, its verdant mountains, its steep cliffs and its serene valley. As a veritable “paradise” for plants, its pathways are adorned by an abundance of flowers, trees, and grasses. And it is also a kingdom of animals. Golden Whip Stream is named after Golden Whip Crag, its landmark spot, and runs from Laomo Bay to Shui Rao Si Men(water-surrounded gates).

It’s the highest spot (1500m) in Zhangjiajie,where you can walk on super-exciting cliff-path and glass walkway and see the whole city and beautiful countryside with bird’s view. and the landscape there is totally different from, meanwhile, at the same level as the ZJJ national Park. Fenghuang County

After the lunch, your guide will escort you to Fenghuang, need 3hrs driving, 220km. The Fenghuang(Phoenix) Town, built in 1704, was granted as a famous national cultural and historical city. The blue flagstone streets, stilted houses, and customs of the Miao nationality all make up its unique charm. For the rest of day, you can wander around the ancient town freely.

Phoenix Ancient Town

Today, you will have a full exploration of the Fenghuang Ancient Town. After breakfast, you will take a boat along Tuojiang River, the mother river of the town. The clean river flows slowly along the city walls and you can see water plants swaying in the gentle waves. In addition, the mist sometimes rises from the quiet green water, making it a fairyland. Then you will be guided to Wanming Pagoda on the north bank of the river. The hexagonal pagoda of around 21 meters (69 feet) high has seven layers. There are copper wind bells hanging at each corner of the eaves. Colored paintings and sculptures are also decorated on the body of the pagoda. After enjoying the elegant pagoda, we will cruise down to the Rainbow Bridge. Looking out of the window on its second floor, you can have a good view of the green hills, blue water, city walls, red slates, and stilted houses. Besides, you can also see several boats moving quietly through the river.

Tuojiang Rock

You will conclude our private Fenghuang tour with Tiaotiao Rock, one of the landmarks of the town. Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort

After lunch,will drive you to Sanjiang Chengyang Dong village( 4hrs driving, 315km) and touring in the village. In the village, you will see the landmark constructions of Dong village, the Wind and Rain Bridgeand the Drum Tower. Constructed with wood and bricks, the Wind and Rain Bridge blend the styles of bridge, corridor and kiosk into a whole, reflecting the unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people. The bridge was built to provide a shelter for the people who works in fields, but later became a date place for the young people and a famous attraction to visitors at home and abroad. When you see the lofty pointed tower with upturned eaves, you will know that you come to a Dong Village. The Drum Tower is always located in the center of a village, acting as the political and cultural center. Every time when the chief of the village beats the drum on the top floor, villagers will stop their work and get together around the Drum Tower.

Chengyang Bridge Scenic Resort

Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces

The Longji Rice Terraces stretch layer upon layer from the mountain base to its summit. From the 13th century during the Yuan Dynasty, the local Zhuang people started to construct and use the amazing terraces. Now, the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces cover an area of 66 square kilometers (about 16,308 acres) and span an altitude between 300 meters (about 984 feet) and 1,100 meters (about 3,608 feet). Standing on the mountain, you will be shocked by the patches of fields and curve lines around the mountains. You will then pay a visit to the Villages of Zhuang to experience the unique Chinese ethnic culture.

Next, go to Guilin and visit the Reed Flute Cave which are large amount of stalactites and stalagmites, forming a luminous underground palace together with colorful lights on the ceiling of the cave.

The boarding time is scheduled at 9:20am, and the whole journey takes about 4 hours. Xianggong Mountain

After disembarkation, drive you to see the Yangshuo Xianggong hill.You will climb for 15 minutes along a moderately sloped staircase to reach the top of Xianggong Hill. Please inform your guide in advance if you need a walking stick. Lying between the famous Yellow Cloth Shoal and the Mural Hill, Xianggong Hill is one of the greatest viewing platforms in Guilin to take in the glamour of the Li River. The supreme view of the meandering Li River making a 180-degree bend, attracts countless visitors and photographers annually.
