Delhi is holding a 3-day festival called Singapore Weekender from 15th February to 17th February. This festival will be a glimpse into Singapore. It will be showcasing the best artworks of the island country in the form of installations and graffiti. Who said you have to be in Singapore to witness and enjoy its amazing culture and lifestyle? It’s here in Delhi and you can visit it in February.
The festival will be held in three zones in Delhi that are; The Lodhi Art District, F(r)iction at KONA, Jor Bagh and antiSocial at Hauz Khas Delhi. The three zones will be featuring different forms of Singapore.
The Lodhi Art District will be focusing on the making of Singapore Lane. Here artists will be transforming the walls into an art gallery of wall murals. The festival includes the presence of artists such as Sam Lo, Yip Yew Chong, Yok and Sheryo, installation artist Tan Xi Zi, new media artists Brandon Tay and photographic artist Eugene Soh.
Art exhibition at F(r)iction at KONA will be presenting the changing nature, technology and art. Three of the artists, Eugene Soh, Angie Seah and Mohammad Izdi will also be present at Singapore Weekender for live performances and interactions with visitors.
Hauz Khas will be featuring Yung Raja who is a Singaporean rapper during the launch party. Also, you will be able to experience the two most famous bars in Singapore, Jigar and Pony.
Visitors can participate from any of these zones and enjoy this beautiful festival.
