Dubai has officially opened the doors to the tallest hotel in the world. Amongst the clouds, and towering the city below, the newly completed Gevora Hotel opened on 12 February. The four-star Gevora is designed to cater to both business and leisure needs with a business center and boardroom.
Standing at 356 meters (1168 feet) tall, this hotel steals the title of “World’s Tallest Hotel” from the JW Marriott Marquis, which had held the position until now. This former record holder is just a meter shorter than the new Gevora Hotel. The new hotel is located on the Sheikh Zayed Road.
The New Tallest Hotel
The luxurious Gevora is decorated sumptuously in gold, and features 528 deluxe rooms and suites. Guests staying at the lavish hotel will also have access to a vast range of specially-curated services, such as a butler allocated to each room. It also includes leisure facilities, such as a health club, a sauna, a main pool deck, and five separate restaurants. The health club offers two separate gyms, one for ladies and another for men, along with a steam room and sauna.
Le Veyron, a specialty coffee shop, can be found at the hotel. There is also Gevora Kitchen, an all-day restaurant which offers buffet breakfast and dinner along with a la carte options. Numerous other venues are set to open through the coming months. Level Twelve, a gourmet restaurant serving classic dishes with a Middle Eastern twist, the Overview Pool Lounge, offering healthy snacks and drinks, and the Highest View Lounge, located on the rooftop and offering panoramic views of the city are some of them.
The Gevora also aims to promote halal culinary experiences. It is also the holder the title of the tallest dry hotel in the world, as it refrains from serving alcohol.
