The IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) is now offering a special six nights and seven days Ladakh tour this summer. This is the latest of the many tour packages that the Indian Railways has been promoting recently.

Set amidst the Himalayas, Ladakh is famous for its abundance of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, high mountain passes and stunning views. Sometimes also called a “little Tibet,” due to the similarity in culture and heritage, it has a rich and diverse history.

The Indian Railways Ladakh tour will take passengers to popular destinations, such as Leh, Sham Valley, Nubra Valley, and Pangong Lake. According to IRCTC Tourism’s official website, the tour is set to start from Delhi, from where passengers will fly to Leh on economy class of GoAir.

The current departure dates are 11-May-2019; 16-May-2019; 29-May-2019; 08-Jun-2019; 13-Jun-2019; 19-Jun-2019; and 30-Jun-2019. Tariff of the Ladakh tour ranges between Rs. 46,430 per person (for triple occupancy) to Rs. 57,500 per person (for single occupancy), inclusive of taxes.

This package includes airfare (for a Delhi-Leh-Delhi round trip), accommodation in hotels, all meals, and entrance fees to monuments as per the itinerary. Not included are other expenses, such as airport transfers, laundry, additional sightseeing, and room service.

Keep in mind, if you cancel your trip, there are only partial reimbursements offered; and no reimbursement for no-shows or cancellations made within seven days of the journey. You can find out more about this trip and book a seat via the IRCTC official website.
