Popular Netflix show Stranger Things is gearing up for the release of its much anticipated third season. The new season will premier on July 4. For fans that can’t wait to return to the thrilling world of the intriguing show, there’s a Stranger Things fun fair they can be a part of, reports Travel + Leisure.
In anticipation of the third season, Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles is hosting a Stranger Things season 3-themed fair. The event promises to offer visitors a glimpse into Hawkins, Indiana (where the show is set) in the summer of 1985. The two-day extravaganza will start on June 29 and will end on June 30.
What attractions will the Stranger Things fun fair have?
The Stranger Things 3 Fun Fair will have lots of fun activities. Attractions include carnival games, a slime-filled dunk tank, and a Demogorgon-filled Curiosity House. Guests can also watch ’80s cover bands, magicians, and the Hawkins High School Cheerleaders. Also, fans who visit Hawkins Bike Shop can get their photo taken with Mike’s bike (as seen on the show).
The fun doesn’t stop there! The iconic Santa Monica Pacific Wheel will be transformed into the Hawkins Wheel. Other popular pier rides will all be altered to suit the Stranger Things theme.
To truly experience the 80s, drop in with an empty stomach. The fair will have eating contests and an old-school Scoops Ahoy ice cream truck that’s going to be featured in season 3. It will be open to visitors from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m on both days. The event is located at the Pier Deck parking lot at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier
A lot of public spaces are going the Stranger Things way to attract crowds. On the day of the season 3 premier, Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park in Brooklyn’s Coney Island will feature theme based activities. Also, the event will begin July 4 and run till Sunday, July 7.
