Although Jurassic Park was released in the early nineties, it is commendable how the CG of the movie made dinosaurs look so real. This May we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Steven Spielberg movie, Jurassic Park. Feel old yet?
John Michael Crichton’s bestselling sci-fi novel about dinosaurs rampaging through a theme park with lightning-fast pacing and thrilling chases, adapted by David Koepp, was a game-changer for the film industry.
“Jurassic Park” was a huge box office hit and it was the first movie to make more than $800 million worldwide and earn more at the box office abroad than it did domestically.
Universal Studios Hollywood is set to host a big event on May 11 and 12. The 25th-anniversary celebration is going to create the ultimate fan experience by hosting a private screening of Jurassic Park at Universal Cinema on City Walk along with the screening of original Jurassic park trailer.
Visitors can dress up in costume as their favourite character from the movie. Universal Studios Hollywood has also posted the costume guidelines.
You can take a journey back to the world of dinosaurs, enjoy special exhibits, themed photo ops, a fan costume show, live entertainment, character sightings and the exclusive after-hours access to face off against a 50-foot T. rex on Jurassic Park® – The Ride, and much more.
The event is going to be held within Universal Studios Hollywood, adjacent to the theme park’s “Jurassic Park—The Ride.”
