Outta Asheville specializes in curating unforgettable private tours for your family or small group, that transport you beyond the vibrant heart of Asheville, North Carolina, into the hidden treasures of its charming outskirts. Our intimate tours offer a personalized experience, inviting you to explore the quaint allure of nearby small towns. I want you to feel like you came to visit a friend that will take you to see the local sights you will love. I can customize our day to fit your needs with a variety of locations to choose from. These tours are for up to five guests, ages 12+.
If you are not within range of pickup, or simply choose to meet me, we will meet at a silver Honda Odyssey van parked in the far west area of the parking lot of the visitor center. I will be holding a small North Carolina flag.
This activity ends back at the meeting point.
I pick up travelers from their lodging location if it is within 12 miles of downtown Asheville. If it is further out we will meet up at the Visitor Center on Montford Avenue in Asheville.
The town of Black Mountain boasts quaint shops, art galleries, and cozy cafes along its historic streets. From there we will take a scenic drive through the outskirts of Black Mountain and pass through Bat Cave are on our way to the village of Chimney Rock.

Chimney Rock is a nature lovers paradise with stunning views and outdoor activities. Visit the historic general store, unique shops, and pay for some gem mining or miniature golf.

It is optional to include a stop at Chimney Rock State Park where you can hike or take an elevator to the top for breathtaking vistas of Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure. If you choose to add this stop, it may reduce the time spent at other stops. The fee at Chimney Rock State Park is $17 per adult, $8 for those under 15.

Lake Lure Flowering Bridge is a unique attraction where a former highway bridge has been transformed into a garden bursting with colorful flowers and plants. The bridge is maintained by volunteers and free for the public.

Morse Park is a serene waterfront park located along the shores of Lake Lure. It is a beautiful spot for capturing pictures with gorgeous backdrops of the lake and mountains. Nearby there is the option to pay for a boat tour of Lake Lure. Should you choose the boat tour, their fee is $20 per adult. The boat tour timing may effect the amount of time spent at other stops. From this park we will take a different scenic route for our return to the Asheville area.

The Folk Art Center is a cultural hub showcasing traditional and contemporary Appalachian crafts. It features a gallery with rotating exhibits of handmade artworks including pottery, textiles, woodwork, and jewelry crafted by regional artisans. Often there are craft demonstrations to view. This can be replaced by a stop that better suites your tastes if you prefer.
