Learn the secrets of making a great Aperitivo in the quiet area of the Garfagnana where time stands still. Leave the city behind for a few hours and see an authentic Palazzo from 1200, with original floors and chestnut ceilings. During this time you will see what it is like to live in a small town that is not full of tourist. I will share with you the local culture and customs as we walk the town and meet the locals. We visit the local winery where locals buy their wine and bring there own bottles. You can cork your wine in the same old fashioned way from years ago. We will visit the Devil's Bridge and I will tell you the legend and then we will enjoy our antipasto around the kitchen table with mountain views and share our stories.

The Garfagnana and Mid Serchio Valley started in the year 1000. This is the land of the mountains and farm to table food. In this area we use local ingredients and products. The area lives consistently in Slow Food and Lifestyle. My friend Sandra Rigali who is a painter in Barga, refers to the area as "Where Time Flows Slowly By".
I have lived in this area since 1994 and want you to experience the food and the people of this area of medieval hilltop towns.
Come with me to walk the streets of Borgo a Mozzano, my local community and meet the people. Then we will visit the Vinery, where you will taste the wine and choose and cork your own bottle the old fashioned way. Then we will go to the local Macelleria and choose the local products of the area. Then I will show you how to create a the perfect aperitivo drink and create the aperitivo board, so you can enjoy the art of Slow Food and Lifestyle.
