Go to 'Flagship Amsterdam - Canal Cruise - Central Station' and board the small, white boats in front of the Central Station at the city center side. Look for the boat's greeter and crew wearing orange clothing. You can reach this meeting point by tram 13 & 17. Get off at the Central Station stop.

What To Expect

The reason the houses in Amsterdam are tilted is because of the soil. The city is built on marshlands, which means that everything heavy sinks right into the soil. Therefore, we started to build upon wooden poles to reach a deeper and more sturdy layer of soil that could support the heavy houses.
