Welcome to Zagreb, Croatia, where every bite tells a story and every meal is a journey through centuries of history and tradition. Join us, a young couple passionate about food and the rich tapestry of Croatian culture.
In Zagreb, authenticity is not just a buzzword—it's a way of life. You'll find the influence history of the Roman &Ottoman Empire woven into every aspect of our culinary scene.
It's infused in every bite, from savoury prosciutto to tangy sheep's cheese and the liquid gold of olive oil, all reminiscent of the Mediterranean slow-paced lifestyle. Taste Zagorski štrukli, a delightful fresh cheese pastry, and experience the soulful flavours of slow-cooked meats that pay homage to our rich heritage.
In this culinary landscape, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a cake that has stood the test of time, made with love and a dash of nostalgia.
Lace up your walking shoes, prepare your taste buds and let us show you why Zagreb has captured the hearts of so many.
We'll meet at the statue of J.Jelačić (horse statue).

Just next to the central square of the Old City is this wonderful local market. With the mass of red umbrellas, it calls to the visitor. Just walking through puts a smile on your face, because you tend to experience the locals' energy. The main part is on an elevated square and there you will find mostly fruit, vegetables and souvenirs. The main part also houses the Dolac fish market where you can find local fish from the Adriatic caught the very same morning. We will try some of the most fresh fish speciality prepared just for you. Some vendors sell crafts and local homemade items, and you'll have a chance to try a few of our most popular and domestic products, such as homemade cheese and dry meat.

Zagreb is indeed quite hilly on its north side, which means there are a lot of paths and stairways that take you up. One of the most beautiful stube off 95 of them in Upper town is Schlosser Stube. They are surely a break from all the tasty food that will be included in our tour. Don’t worry about climbing the Schlosserove Stube in summer heat - the vine wrapped around the pergolas makes a perfect shade and there are even benches all along.
