There are a total of 1008 steps to go up to the temple. The Trek starts at the foot of the Hills and reaches the tower at the end of 1008 steps. Also, you get to see the 200-year-old carved Nandi statue at the center.
Chamundi Temple has no strict dress codes, but it is advisable to wear appropriate clothing while visiting there. It’s best if both Men and women wear ethnic dresses for the temple visit and avoid jeans, western tops, shorts, minis, etc.
