A journey through Conquests, crossings and countryside and across Anglesey and Snowdonia. We’ll pick you up from your hotel in the Conwy area and we head off across the historic bridges to Mon Mam Cymru – Anglesey the Mother of Wales to visit an ancient chambered tomb dating back to stoneage times. We learn about the Celts and Druids with a visit to the great little museum of Oriel Môn. By lunchtime we reach Caernarfon to see one of the longest occupied Roman fortresses and can compare it to one built over 1000 years later as we visit the World Heritage Caernarfon castle. After that a walk up to the stunningly-located Welsh built castle of Dolbadarn. We finish with a drive through Snowdonia stopping for photo opportunities of the lakes and mountains and a local afternoon tea.
