We will also stop at Charlie's Place Historic Site where the greatest names in 20th Century American music performed from the 1930s to the 1960s. The club itself, which had been a popular stop on what was known as the "Chitlin' Circuit," is no longer there, but Charlie's home is along with a reconstruction of his motel that was listed in THE GREEN BOOK, a guide for African-American travelers during segregation.
