Is located at 955 mt. above the sea level, the View of the Barbagia County is guaranteed! From you comfortable seat you can enjoy the dense forests of holm oaks interspersed with downy oaks, cork trees, holly and Mediterranean brush: cistus, strawberry trees, lavender, mastic and juniper.

Born as a tribute to the statue that has overlooked the town from Mount Ortobene since 1901, over the years the festival has also (increasingly) acquired a folkloristic note. Today it has a twin soul: two different moments, one dedicated to religious celebration and the other to a spectacular parade of people dressed in traditional outfits from all over the island. This particular and beautiful moment will take place in August!

Discovering this Village you'll notice that something is quiet different from other Italian Town. A cradle of archaic traditions, Orgosolo reveals a deep bond with its roots. This Village in the Barbagia area offers glimpses of an ancient and timeless Sardinia, surrounded by unspoilt nature. Towards the end of the 19th century, Orgosolo became known for another reason: the phenomenon of banditry in the region, which even inspired a movie, Bandits of Orgosolo. Nowadays it’s a touristic attraction, many visitors are walking down the main strip photographing the vibrant graffiti-style murals that adorn the village’s buildings. After strolling around the village you can have the chance to eat with the shepherds, in a rural place will be served the typical lunch with of course only products of the area
