Theyyam
Pick up from your hotel, bus or railway station in Kannur and transfer to the accommodation for check-in. Depending on your schedule and preference, you will be taken to the recommended Theyyam festival location. Different types of Theyyams are performed in one temple at different intervals on the same day. Help you photograph different stages of theyyam rituals, helps to interact with theyyam community people. Theyyam – the ritualistic performance, which can be described as the most visible, spectacular art form of Malabar (Northern part of Kerala), associated with myths and legends. Theyyam is also a form of worship consisting of rituals, colorful costumes and divine dance through which the gods are appeased and honored.
