Overview
9.00 am: welcome in Zungri at Raìsina. 09.30 am: after the "traditional dressing" we proceed with the various phases of bread making with the participation of the guests. 11.00 am: "a massara e u massaru" will brighten the day with songs and "cunti" (stories) with tastings of typical local products with a rich proposal for the peasant. 12.30 pm: excursion to the Zungri Caves, visit to the cave of Our Lady of Lourdes and the painted portals through the historic center of Zungri (optional activities, about 400m away). Around 2.00 pm: return to Raìsina to attend the baking of the bread with tasting of the "pitta forward furnu". 3.30pm: return.

What To Expect
An exciting and fun interpretation of the typical peasant day dedicated to the rural cult of homemade bread as it was once done. From the methodical preparation of the dough, to the instant in which water, flour and yeast, expertly prepared, will become the long-awaited and fragrant shapes, "a sfurnata" (baked out of the oven) to be kept "'nta madhja" (maida). All the intermediate stages of bread making will be represented and people who wish to participate will be entertained and involved in all respects. The program has the purpose of pleasant reconstruction of rural traditions and useful training, as well as education to natural and peasant life. The day culminates with the tasting of the “zero kilometer” “sapori alla contadina” banquet; a participation in the typical cuisine with tasty native dishes, set up in an original location, "a Raìsina". For those who wish, an excursion will be organized to the rock settlement of the Zungri Caves with a visit to the Museum of Rural and Peasant Civilization, an exhibition of sculptures and paintings created by Maestro Zappino and a visit to the portals, artists' paintings in the small village historic...
