We'll explore on foot at a beautifully-preserved ancient village of traditional thatched-roof houses where local artists display hand-made crafts. A wide variety of works are on display in the village's galleries, including ceramics, paintings, wood carvings and indigo-dyed fabrics.
Leaves of maples along the bike route turn fiery colors in autumn, and the village's cherry trees are covered with bright pink blossoms in spring. Mt Fuji rises up behind the picturesque village, making for spectacular scenery.
