Towering above you is Brunelleschi’s Dome; symbol of Renaissance Florence and famous for its daring design and even more challenging realization. It is then on to the political centre of Florence, the Piazza della Signoria. Dominating one side of the square are the Uffizi, formerly the offices of the Grand Dukes of the city, and the former seat of the government of Florence. On the other side of the square is the Palazzo Vecchio.

The, the walking tour takes you through the “Porcellino” (little pig) market and on to the oldest bridge in Florence, the Ponte Vecchio, which dates back to the 1300s. The landmark Ponte Vecchio offers marvelous views of the surrounding Florentine Hills.
