Admire a free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral. The unusual position of the bell tower, aligned with the facade, reflects the desire to give it great importance as a sign of strong verticality at the center of the Insula Episcopalis, as well as probably the practical need to free the view of the apse area for the large dome, foreseen since Arnolfian project. Giotto provided an original design for the bell tower, with a pyramidal cusp termination 50 Florentine arms high (about 40 metres), according to which the total elevation should have been approximately 120-125 metres. A drawing preserved in the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo in Siena is considered by some scholars to be inspired by this project.

Visit Palatine Gallery, is a museum housed in Palazzo Pitti in Florence. Housed within the architectural complex, it is located on the main floor, divided into 28 rooms that extend into the rear northern lateral wing of the architectural complex and into the northern lateral part and central rear part of the main building of the palace. This is the "picture gallery" of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany: the layout in fact respects the taste of past centuries, with the paintings placed in several rows, selected for decorative criteria, and not by period and schools. Chronologically, with a few exceptions, the paintings mainly cover the 16th and 17th centuries, making it one of the most important museums of its kind in Italy, as well as an obligatory stop for learning about the history of European collecting.
