Counted among Japan's top three sake brewing regions, Saijo in Higashihiroshima is a rare sake district with seven sake breweries located around Saijo Station.
The flowing water from Mt. Ryuo, after more than 15 years, transforms into water rich in minerals suitable for sake brewing. Handled by skilled sake brewers inheriting traditional techniques, it evolves into Japanese sake.
KAMOSU TABI is a wellness tour that invites you to feel a connection with 'nature,' 'local community,' and 'people' through the traditional Japanese art of sake brewing. This journey not only rejuvenates the mind and body but also provides insights for a better tomorrow."

What To Expect
Ikoi no Mori Park Mt. Ryuo, which overlooks the town of Higashihiroshima, is the source where renowned water is born. Rainwater that falls on Mt. Ryuo takes over 15 years to percolate, emerging as underground water rich in minerals suitable for brewing sake. By experiencing the nature of Mt. Ryuo and tracing the source water, you will feel a "connection with nature" – an essential aspect in the art of sake brewing.

Saijosakagura-dori Street
Saijo Sakagura-dori Street In Saijo's Sakagura-dori Street, which thrived as a post town along the highway during the Edo period, seven breweries line up.Sake brewing, rooted in tradition, continues using the underground water from the source of Ryuo Mountain. Explore this charming historical district known as "the Sake Capital Saijo" and feel the "connection with the local community."

Akitsu, known as a good natural port since ancient times, is nurtured by the mild climate of the Seto Inland Sea, where a variety of agricultural products are grown and oysters are cultivated. Akitsu is also known as the "birthplace of the Toji," or master brewer, who contributed to Hiroshima's sake, and the town is filled with people's passion for sake. Listening to the story of Soichiro Tsuka, the ninth generation Toji of Akitsu's Tsuka Sake Brewery, you will feel the power of the connections between people who care about sake.
