Today we will drive through the Western Wilds. We’ll walk among some of the world’s tallest trees and see the beautiful Russell Falls at Mount Field National Park.

We’ll visit the expansive Lake St Clair, Australia’s deepest freshwater lake. Here you'll enjoy lunch and a wander along the short tracks by the lake.

The drive through the Franklin-Gordon National Park offers pristine rainforest and mountain scenery. We typically stop at Nelson Falls and Franklin River to learn about the history and environment of this wild part of Tasmania.

You’ll enjoy the rugged scenery around the old mining town of Queenstown. Your guide will tell you tales of early European history that visibly shaped the region.

The untouched wilderness of Tasmania’s West Coast is today’s playground. In the Tarkine rainforest we’ll walk to Tasmania’s highest waterfall, Montezuma Falls, around a 3 hour return trip along an abandoned tramway which has been reclaimed by rainforest. Enjoy lunch at the falls before returning the same route. Please note, today you have the option of the Gordon River Cruise which you would do instead of this waterfall walk and Henty Dunes. You will rejoin your group for Ocean Beach if you choose this option (extra cost). Your guide will explain it all!

At the alpine and glacial carved World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain National Park, choose a walk to suit your fitness. The Dove Lake circuit is one of the best short walks in Australia, while the walk to Marion’s Lookout is more challenging but offers incredible alpine views. We'll also look for wombats at Ronny Creek.

Tasmania's favourite local beach town, Bicheno is our home for tonight. It is also home to the little penquin which burrows in the shores and returns from the sea at night time.

Freycinet is Tasmania’s most famous coastal National Park, and today you’ll explore its beaches, forests, coves, and lookouts. See the pink granite Hazards mountain range from tranquil Honeymoon Bay. Then, you may be keen for a challenging climb to the summit of Mt Amos. Alternatively, you may prefer to walk to the lookout to view the curved white sands of Wineglass Bay and continue to the beach below. Finally, we’ll take in the stunning ocean and mountain views from Cape Tourville before returning to Hobart via the Great Eastern Drive.

Enjoy the night exploring the nightlife of Hobart. You may wish to walk along the historic waterfront and explore the Salamanca region or head up to the lively restaurants and bars by North Hobart.

We'll grab lunch and take our time to explore Richmond including RIchmond Bridge and walk amongst the colonial village's treelined streets and heritage buildings.

Known locally as “The Mountain” or by its palawa name, kunanyi. Here our guide will provide an experience which explores its diverse features such as fern glades, eucalyptus forests, dramatic rock columns and boulder fields. There are superb walking tracks to spectacular lookouts. This is our final experience together as our tour comes to an end.
