The Nuraghe Losa is one of the most famous, well-preserved and representative megalithic testimonies of the Nuragic civilisation. The unmistakable shape of the Losa nuraghe stands on the basaltic plateau of Abbasanta, walking around its powerful, solid and flat structure you will notice perspective views that recall the high bow of a ship. It is one of the most notable and characterizing expressions of Nuragic architecture. The complex, entirely built with large blocks of basalt, consists of a three-lobed nuraghe, dating back to the Middle Bronze Age (15th-14th century BC), a wall and the remains of a village of circular huts, built between the Late Bronze Age and the Iron Age ( XIII-IX BC)

The most representative, best preserved, evocative and mysterious Nuragic well temple stands near a town in central-western Sardinia. The well of Santa Cristina represents the culmination of the architecture of the water temples, the name derives from the adjacent country church of Santa Cristina, dating back to the 11th century and around 36 muristenes, characteristic little houses which still today host pilgrims during the celebration of novenas, in mid-May. The archaeological site is located a few tens of meters from the Christian-medieval one, surrounded by the greenery of centuries-old olive trees. It is divided into two nuclei: in the first you will find a well temple, dating back to the Final Bronze Age (12th century BC). 200 meters away, you will encounter the second nucleus including the Santa Cristina nuraghe, much older than the sacred well, dating back to the Middle Bronze Age. (15th BC). The well temple of Santa Cristina is the most admirable and refined example of cult building technique from the Nuragic age.
