In 1939, the President of Warsaw, Stefan Starzy?ski said: “I wanted Warsaw to be great. Both my colleagues and I were making plans of a great Warsaw of the future." That same year, in September, Warsaw was fighting in a war that would change it forever. The war wasn’t just tanks, bombs, soldiers, and ruins. Let us share with you the ballad of a city that survived its own death.
