Get ready to meet gallery directors and managers, and engage in close conversations and discussions with people who are passionate about contemporary art. During the tour we will not only learn about the artists and dive into the processes of their work, but most importantly will take a moment to slow down and experience the art through a group discussion.
With exhibitions changing every five to six weeks, there is always something new to see. Your itinerary will include a range of galleries for an energizing mix of artwork in different media by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.
We will pick you at the lobby of the hotel. I will be waiting with a company logo with signboard with the lead traveler name.
Gallery visit. In 2017, Fred Jahn and Matthias Jahn’s galleries merged to form Jahn und Jahn (Munich). In 2022, Jahn and Jahn founded a gallery in Lisbon, Portugal. Close collaboration with the artists as well as a thorough understanding of forms of artistic expression have been central to the identity of the galleries from the beginning. Significant here are also the numerous publications, published by the galleries themselves, which have accompanied exhibitions in both locations. Jahn und Jahn intends to continue in this vein.

Gallery visit. At the end of the 60s, Galeria de São Mamede opened its doors very close to Largo do Rato, on Rua da Escola Politécnica, in a Pombaline building, almost opposite the Attorney General's Office and the Church of São Mamede. It has always been dedicated exclusively to Portuguese modernism and the contemporary movement, with occasional exhibitions by foreign artists. There has been an intense and quality artistic activity, supported by "classic" artists who have always been linked to the Gallery (such as Areal, Cesariny, Cruzeiro Seixas or Nadir Afonso) but also, and above all, by new artists.
