From Kathmandu, we take a 7-8-hour drive to Syabrubesi. Daily buses leave for Syabrubesi. Kathmandu via Trishuli to Dhunche 1950m.

We transverse the ridge on Syabrubesi's main road and soon reach Ghopcha Khola. Terraced fields and dense forests housing a variety of plant species like oaks, maple, alder, and bamboo open up. We may get to see yellow-throated martin, wild boar, langur monkey, red panda, and Himalayan black bear en route. Further on, the trail crosses a stream and a bridge. We pass by several small battles. As we continue ascending steeply along the trail, we come across a steel suspension bridge at 2000 meters. The route further crosses to the north bank of the Langtang Khola amid the spectacular vistas of cascading waterfalls and opens into scrub oak forest. At reaching 2470 meters we arrive at Lama Hotel where we conclude the trek for the day.

From the lama hotel, we continue gently ascending above the Langtang Khola. As the trail progresses, it becomes steeper. From time and again we can have the most exotic sights of Langtang Lirung lying at 7246 meters. The trail leads to a log bridge and on climbing further we come across lush meadows of Ghora Tabela at 2992m. We will see several lodges and a police check post. Further on, the route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages showcasing water-driven mills and prayer wheels. On descending for a while, we arrive at Langtang village after crossing a stream and reaching a height of 3430 meters. Langtang village is the headquarters for Langtang National Park and has flat-roofed Tibetan-style houses, hotels, and cultivated lands yielding buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips, barley, etc.

The trail skirts gradually through rich yak pastures and interesting traditional villages of Muna to Singdun. We cross a wooden cantilever bridge and reach a wide valley after climbing a moraine. Finally, on ascending along the mountain passes we arrive at Kyanjin Gompa. There is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory.

Early in the morning climb higher altitudes our guide will take you to Tserkori (5184m) or the hillside from where you will see a nice panoramic view and same day return to Kyanjin Gompa and trek back to Lama Hotel.

We walk and continue downhill and we climb uphill near Pahare Lodge next stop from Bamboo there is one way to Syabrubesi and one path goes to Thulo Syabru.

Today is a steeper walk mostly uphill with some characteristically Himalayan ups and downs. The terrain remains forested with open areas, which give views back the way you have come. Your stop today is Sing Gompa in the town of Chandanbari. You can visit the old monastery.

This morning you take one of the less-trekked trails to Gosaikunda Lake. It is a steep climb, but spectacular. This is one of the highest lakes in the world. You may have some mild altitude symptoms here, such as a loss of appetite or headache. The pilgrims consider it a sign of Shiva's (Hindu God) blessing.
