Pyramids of Giza
Upon arrival in Cairo, you will visit the Giza Pyramid Complex. This ancient site includes three main pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, dating back to the 4th dynasty around 2500 BCE. The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau and the only one to remain intact from the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Standing at 147 meters tall, it is made from approximately 2,300,000 stones and took about twenty years to construct. Next, marvel at the Great Sphinx, the largest statue in the world, measuring 73 meters in length, 19 meters in width, and 20 meters in height. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture.
