Our tour takes you through the historic and vibrant "MEDINA" district and it's famous Port, located in the heart of Essaouira, known for its traditional architecture, narrow alleyways, and charming atmosphere. You'll visit local markets and observe fresh produce vendors, artisans, and real community life in action, with breathtaking views and excellent photo opportunities.
In addition to the various tastings your group will enjoy, your guide will discuss the history, culture, traditions, and lifestyle.

After the visit of scala, we move towards the Jewish quarter (the mellah), on the path we discover the small alleys and dead ends with old doors, before arriving at the mellah we will discover one of the local crafts: marquetry cedar wood. The artists ’specialty wood is from the Thuya tree, a highly prized wood with a delicious perfume and found only in this part of Morocco. Afterwards, we will have our third stop to taste Moroccan crepes purely Moroccan specialty, to be taken with mint tea in the afternoon, after the third prayer.

After visiting the markets, we will discover the center of the medina or rather its heart, we will discover the fish market, where we can buy fish and grill it, after we will visit the grain square, also known as foundouk (hotel) for the caravans coming from tombouctou for the trade on the port of essaouira in the 18th century. After we will discover (the joutia) market of the flea market, quite lively place the afternoon.
