Meet outside the Chester Visitor Information Centre. It is to the left of the Town Hall entrance if you look at it straight on. You will be able to see the Cathedral and The Dublin Packet Pub to your Right if you face out.

Chester Visitor Information Centre
The tour meets here for introductions and the guide lets everyone know what to expect on the day. You will have a short history of Chester and hear a few of Chester's stories on the way to our first food stop.

Chester Roman Amphitheatre
After hearing about a locally made product from the producer and having a sample, we reach the amphitheatre from Chester's walls and take in the Roman gardens, an open air museum, where there will be photo opportunities. The tour guide will tell you some fascinating information about the Romans and the surrounding area as we walk past the River Dee towards next foodie stop.

Chester Racecourse
Here we visit the countries oldest racecourse and your guide will tell you about the history of this illustrious sporting venue. We will now walk to our next independent for snacks and a drinks tasting past Chester's galleries and most popular bars.

The tour stops at the Cross to hear about another of Chester's fabulous foodie treats from the owner, followed by a sample to take with you whilst walking towards Chester Cathedral.

The tour will be admitted inside Chester Cathedral to find out some of it's strangest secrets. This is a beautiful 10th century monument well worth a visit. The group now continues along Chester's walls.

Your tour guide will tell you stories about the civil war and Chester under seige before you are led off the walls and towards another hidden foodie gem.

Chester Market
Chester is full of ghosts and your guide will tell you about some of them as you walk past the oldest licensed pub in Chester. The tour walks through the new market area full of independents for a very Cheshire dessert!
