Awa Odori Festival

Naruto Strait boasts some of Japan's most spectacular natural wonders with its massive whirlpools. In spring, these whirlpools can reach diameters of up to 30 meters and speeds of 20 kilometers per hour, ranking them among the world's largest and fastest. ※ Enjoy Naruto Whirlpools from Wonder Naruto Cruise!

The Uzu-no-oka Onaruto Bridge Memorial Hall, also known as the Uzushio Science Museum, opened in 1985 to showcase the history and technology of the Onaruto Bridge linking Awaji Island and Shikoku. Now, it's a popular tourist destination featuring photo opportunities, gourmet options, and entertainment, all with the famous Awaji Island onions as a backdrop against the Naruto Straits. ※ As the Uzu no Oka Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum is closed on August 13th, the tours on August 14th and 15th will visit Road Station Kurukurunaruto instead.

Awa Odori
The Awa Dance Festival (Awa Odori) is Japan's largest dance festival, held during the Obon festival in Tokushima Prefecture. Dancers and musicians called ren parade through the streets wearing traditional obon dance costumes, accompanied by traditional instruments. "Awa" refers to the old name of Tokushima Prefecture, and "odori" means "dance." The festival's signature chant goes: "Odoru aho ni miru aho, onaji aho nara odoranya sonson♪" (A fool watches a fool dancing, If they're both fools, let's dance♪). ※ The spectator seats will be S-class seats. ※ Performance schedule Part 1 (18:00-19:30)

- Awa Odori may be canceled due to weather conditions. If cancellation is confirmed before departure, the tour will be canceled and a full refund will be given.
- Due to natural phenomena, such as weather conditions (rain, cloudy skies, wind strength, etc.), it may not be possible to see the spectacular views. Based on information from the Mitoyo City Tourism Exchange Bureau, under suitable weather conditions, similar photographs can be taken.
- Local volunteers have cleaned this beach for 20 years. We appreciate your cooperation in taking your trash with you.
- Even if the scenery at Chichibugahama Beach cannot be seen due to bad weather, we will still guide you to the beach. Please note that there will be no alternative sightseeing or refunds provided.
- To enhance your comfort during photography on the sandy beach, we recommend preparing boots (or beach sandals in summer) and towels.
