Nestled in the Andes Mountains, about 30 miles northeast of Cusco, the Inca ruins of Pisac are a spectacular sight. These ruins, dating from 1100-1400 AD, feature stone temples, tombs, terraces, and ceremonial structures. Pisac, a key religious and administrative center for the Incas, was a site of spiritual significance and a hub for tax collection and trade.

Next, we'll proceed to Urubamba for a sumptuous buffet lunch. This region, renowned for its fertile soil, grows a variety of crops like corn, potatoes, barley, and fruits. Post-lunch, our tour leads to Ollantaytambo, an ancient Incan ruin in the Sacred Valley. Built around 1450 AD during Emperor Pachacuti's reign, this site features terraces, temples, baths, palaces, and plazas. Ollantaytambo's most remarkable feature is its large stone walls, assembled without mortar, showcasing the Incan architectural prowess. After exploring Ollantaytambo, we'll board a train to Aguas Calientes.
