Overview
The longest running surf school in Lahaina, Goofy Foot was established in Lahaina, Maui in April, 1994 by the Owner/Instructor Tim Sherer to perpetuate his relationship with Mother Ocean and to teach the ancient Hawaiian sport of surfing.
At Goofy Foot Surf School we feel it is a privilege to teach surfing. Our primary focus is on giving each student the best and safest surfing experience possible. It is our responsibility to professionally teach the skills of surfing and instill in students a healthy respect and awareness of the beauty and power of Mother Ocean. Meeting And Pickup
Meeting point
Meeting place is ¼ mile to the Lahaina side (north) Ukumehame Beach Park parking lot (NOT in the parking lot). Look for and meet at the black Toyota Tundra pickup truck with an orange flag/cloth and black Thule surf rack on the back.
End Point
This activity ends back at the meeting point.
What To Expect
Private lessons offer students the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the undivided attention from one of our professional surfing instructors! Take advantage of your time and our years of teaching experience. Instruction is focused with an aim to provide ideal learning conditions for aspiring individuals. A private lesson will really help you take your surfing to the next level, plus it will do wonders to increase your wave count!

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
