Temple of Confucius and Guozijian Museum

The Confucius Temple and the Imperial Academy (Guozijian) were both established in the 14th century. Following the ancient system of "temple on the left, school on the right," they together served as the highest educational institution of the state and the site where emperors conducted ceremonies to honor Confucius. We will first visit the Confucius Temple. Here, we will provide a detailed explanation of Chinese temple culture and introduce the life of Confucius. We will also explore the architectural structure of the Confucius Temple and its role in sacrificial ceremonies.

Afterward, we will visit the Imperial Academy (Guozijian) that next to the temple of Confucius.
