Overview
Chateau Defay Vineyard Founded in Guatemala generations ago by a family of passionate winegrowers, Chateau Defay is much more than just a vineyard: it is a legacy steeped in love for the land and dedication to wine. From the meticulous harvest to the delicate fermentation, each step of the process is a true masterpiece.
Upon arrival at the winery or vineyard, you will be greeted by a guide or a member of the winery team. They will give you a warm welcome. During this time, you will learn about the different grape varieties grown on the farm, the growing methods used. Then, you will be taken to the winery where the wine is made. Here, they will explain the entire production process, from harvesting to bottling. You will be able to see the different stages, such as fermentation, maceration and aging in barrels. After the visit to the winery, you will reach the most exciting part of the tour: the wine tasting. An expert will explain how to taste wine correctly, what characteristics to look for and how to appreciate the aromas and flavors.
After the tasting, we will go to one of the viewpoints in the vineyard. If you still have free time you could order food (extra)
