Many decades ago, George Everest, a skilled cartographer, served as the Surveyor General of India. It is after him that the world’s highest mountain is named. Based in Dehradun, he meticulously travelled the country mapping each detail. Today, his former residence has been transformed into a unique cartography museum, inviting visitors to explore the captivating world of mapping.
