What To Expect
Rosé wine is an expression of vitality and "sweet modern life", like its colours, smells and flavours:
- the color captures us immediately, as soon as it is poured into the glass, with its infinite chromatic shades: from pale pink to claret, from cherry to coral, up to intense pink;
- on the nose it expresses a bouquet that often releases floral and fruity notes, sometimes balsamic and the taste is fresh and balanced, slightly tannic and with an acidity similar to that of white wines.
- How is a still rosé wine made? We will learn about the 3 main production methods and the most important Italian rosé wine producing regions.
Rosé wine is the product of the winemaker who created it, the indissoluble reflection between grape variety, territory and choices in the cellar which is produced with red grapes obtained by maceration of the must on the skins for a variable time, which defines its color more or less intense.
It is not the result of a blend of red and white wine, a technique prohibited by law except for rosé sparkling wines.
We will learn about the 3 major production methods and the most important Italian areas... and we will taste 3 splendid rosé wines together.
