What To Expect

Cusco - Perolniyoq - Water fall - Kuychiqasa Pass

3 Stops
Cusco Region

Our guide will pick you up from the hotel at five thirty to begin our trip. We drive one hour and forty-five minutes to Soqma (3,205 m/10,512 feet.). The trail's headtrack leads us to meet the horses and crew.

Socma Perolniyoc

The hike takes one and a half hours, starting at the Perolniyoc cascade and viewpoint. The waterfall is amazing; you could even make a quick trek down to the base to grab some amazing photos (and cool off if the weather is hot!). At the Rayan Pre-Inca site, we continue for 45 minutes. Nestled on a clifftop, the Pre-Inca site provides an amazing perspective of the valley below. We keep pushing the climb for almost an hour until we reach Rayan (3,700 m/12,139 feet). This offers a chance for leisure, rest, and refreshment for afternoon trekking. The afternoon begins with a difficult 3-hour uphill climb toward the Kuychowiczasa pass (4,450 m/14,599 ft). Every turn will provide you with amazing vistas of snow-capped mountains passing by rural estates. At the pass's summit, we recover our breath and take in the Incas' Sacred Valley and Chankachuco Valley.

Perolniyoq Waterfall

From this vantage point, the 25-minute downhill trek makes it easy to reach our tent on level terrain of 4,400 m or 14,435 ft. Twelve kilometers (7.4 miles) is the trek distance. It is tough; the usual time is seven to eight hours. Views: The Pre-Inca Mountains range, including the Perolniyoq waterfall. We slept in Chankachuko or Kuychicasa, depending on the distance we traveled.

3 Stops
Inti Punku Sun Gate

Early in the morning, we climb 1.5 hours in an alternating rising and declining pattern. From here, we descend for two ½ hours to a location in the Incas known as Inti Punku in the Sacred Valley (meaning Sun Gate), where we have a breathtaking view of Mount Veronica (5,682 m/18,637 ft) and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It would be best to observe the Inca pyramid's construction from here. Following a few minutes of break, we will trek one hour downhill from Inti Punku to Choquetacarpo (3,600 m/11,808 ft.), where we will find a stone quarry for Ollantaytambo and other Inca constructions.

3 Hours • Admission Ticket Included

Lunch is thirty minutes downhill from Inti Punku. We will have time to look at and talk about how traces of stone work disturbed by the Spanish invasion still reveal themselves. We descend from the quarry for two hours until we arrive at our camp close to Ollantaytmbo, 2,940 m (9,715 feet). In Ollantaytambo, we will eat. Trek Distance: Moderate: 10.56 mi (17 km). The estimate is eight hours.

Machupicchu cusco

If you choose to see the sun rising over the Inca ruins, you will arrive at the citadel in time at five a.m. The Incas, whose incredible artistry is still evident centuries later, are architects and engineers. The wild, luxuriant slopes and rugged mountains differ greatly from the accuracy of the chiseled walls. Machu Picchu is defined in three zones: agricultural, urban, and outskirt.

1 Hours • Admission Ticket Included

Temple of the Sun

Among the several temples in the urban area are the Sun's temple, the Royal Tomb, ceremonial fountains, the Royal Palace, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Temple, the Intiwatana, and more. Both the funeral rock and cemetery belong in the agricultural field. If you purchase an additional ticket, you will have more time.

2 Hours • Admission Ticket Included

Alternative sites outside of town include the Intipunku, the Temple of the Moon, Huayna Picchu, or the Drawbridge. More courageous ones will scale the nearby mountain, Huayna Picchu, in 45 minutes. Remember, the park officials only allow 400 daily visits to Huayna Picchu; hence, you must get tickets well in advance. Tickets allow one to climb between 7 and 10 a.m. if they intend to do so.

Aguas Calientes
