Overview
Immersia Freediving is the only freediving school in Sydney to offer this type of course. It will give you a glimpse of how AMAZING freediving feels like and allow you to explore your capabilities in a super controlled and relaxed environment.
What's Included
- 2 hours of theory, breathwork and meditation
- 1.5 hours in shallow water, learning and practicing freediving techniques
- All your freediving gear, EXCEPT your wetsuit
- Light snacks in between dives
- Wetsuits - We recommend renting one at Dive Centre Bondi or Dive Centre Manly if you don't have your own.

What To Expect
This is 100% BEGINNER FRIENDLY. If you’ve ever thought about taking a freediving course but don’t feel you have the water confidence, or can't commit to a full 2 days, this is the course for you.
In a group of no more than 8 people you will learn:
- How freediving works
- How to hold your breath for longer
- How to equalise your ears when freediving
- How to use freediving equipment and the basic techniques
- How to practice freediving safely
- How to de-stress using breathing and mental techniques
Each experience includes a freediving theory workshop, a meditation exercise, and a session in the ocean with our freediving gear on.

- Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
- Not recommended for pregnant travelers
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Participants should be able to swim at least 200m.
- Freediving is a demanding activity and can be strenuous, and you need to be in good health to participate. If you have any questions as to whether or not you are fit to freedive, please consult with your physician.
- Participants will be required to fill out a medical history form. If any of the medical conditions apply to you, you must consult with a physician prior to freediving.
