In this interactive course, you'll master the art of Japanese seasoning using classic ingredients like soy sauce, mirin, and sake. You'll learn to grill, simmer, marinate, and pickle, experimenting with different ratios to achieve authentic flavors. By the end of the class, you might just become a washoku master!

What To Expect
Experience Japan's culinary delights with my hands-on cooking class for travelers! As a former chef with 4.5 years at a Michelin Bib Gourmand izakaya, I'll guide you through making five traditional Japanese snacks and pairing them with three types of sake.
The Snacks:
1. Wasabi Garlic Potato Salad
2. Octopus and Cucumber Vinegar Salad
3. Fish Tatsuta-age with Scallion Sauce
4. Simmered Yellowtail with Daikon
5. Mixed Rice Onigiri
Sake Pairing:
Taste three types of sake:
- Two Chilled Sakes: Junmai and Junmai Ginjo
- One Warm Sake: Discover flavor changes with temperature.
