8am Meet and greet at your Penang hotel and depart for Cameron Highlands - a hill resort with cool temperatures, vast tea plantations, farmlands. Tea plantations work closely with WWF in conservation of critically endangered mammals like tigers, elephants, tapirs. sun bears etc. It is a wonderful feeling to sip tea perched on an elevated tea cafe to catch a bird's eye view of lust carpet of greenery below. Take a stroll through the rolling hills for photo shoots. Visit Butterfly Farm - a paradise for butterflies and live stick insects, scorpions, beetles etc . The market sells vegetables, fruits and flowers grown in the Camerons. Check in to hotel. Complimentary dinner is "HOT POT". Bring sweaters as the nites are cold. Traffic jams in Camerons unavoidable.

Camerons - Rainforest Taman Negara (Recommended hotel: Mutiara Resort)

7am Depart for Taman Negara which is a 130 million tropical rainforest with tigers, elephants, tapirs, 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species... Trek to the Canopy walkway (Closed Fridays) to have a bird's eye view of the world's oldest rainforest. The boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids and reaches an aborigine. The ladies shy away and the men "run" away only to reappear with their fire making and hunting tools for a native demonstration. The rainforest is their supermarket. Waterfalls are wonders of nature. The trickles and ripples has a calming and healing effect in lowering stress. A cool dip completes a good nature tour. Check in to hotel. 7pm Join nature guide for the Nite Jungle walk to look for spiders, scorpions, snakes foraging for food.. Return to hotel Free and easy.
