Located in the province of Pastaza, in Mera canton, the Miramera viewpoint is situated 10 minutes before the city of Puyo on the Baños - Tena road, on the right bank. Situated within the boundaries between the Province of Pastaza and Tungurahua, this viewpoint is named after the canton that welcomes you to the Amazon region, "Mera Canton". You'll recognize the viewpoint by a large sign on the road that says PASTAZA, as well as small signs displaying images of the famous nest. Admission costs $3 per person. The main tourist attraction is El Nido, a large-scale imitation of the oropendola bird's nest from the Amazon, constructed with vines native to the region.
