After a hearty breakfast, get introduced to your equine companions and have your riding skills evaluated. Saddle up for a pleasant morning ride for about 2 hours. This introductory ride is your chance to bond with your horse and set the tone for an unforgettable riding week. After returning to the farm, enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on a guided 2-hour walking tour of the captivating city of Sarajevo. Your day concludes with a visit to the Hedona Wine Club, a boutique winery perched on the slopes of Sarajevo, offering stunning city views. You'll explore their vineyards, indulge in wine tasting paired with innovative Bosnian dishes. The Hedona Wine Club is the first boutique winery in Sarajevo, surrounded by vineyards at an altitude of 850m. Hedona designed a great way to showcase their wines. The vineyard counts 3,500 vine plants, mostly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which they use to carefully make sparkling wines following traditional methods.

Nature Park Hutovo Blato

Day three marks the beginning of your journey into Herzegovina, the sun-soaked southern region of the country. An early start leads to a drive to meet your waiting horses in Herzegovina's lush Hutovo Blato nature park, known for its birdlife. Your ride takes you through lowlands and nearby hills, providing spectacular views of the wetlands. Enjoy a restful afternoon picnic and an electric boat ride on Deranje Lake. Your day ends with an overnight stay at a lakeside hotel, known for its delectable river fish cuisine. Following a brief respite, visit Domano, a winery renowned for its red wine variety, Blatina. Their slogan is “wine with deep roots”, because wines have been produced in Herzegovina since the time of the Illyrians. Savor homemade culinary delights, perfectly paired with the wines, in a region with a rich winemaking heritage.

Wednesday takes you to the scenic Trebižat River, often regarded as one of the most beautiful in Herzegovina. After breakfast, embark on a riding tour along the river's green shores and even through shallow waters for a refreshing experience. Lunch at one of the riverside restaurants viewing the numerous waterfalls, followed by an exhilarating kayak adventure. You'll then settle in at a family farm stay, near the wineries in the town of Ljubuški. This town is known for its numerous wineries, offering an opportunity for wine tasting, cheese sampling, and indulging in local products. Blatina and Žilavka wines are on the menu, showcasing the region's wine-making traditions.

Thursday is a special day as you drive to Cincar Mountain, home to numerous herds of wild horses, estimated to number around 1,000. You'll have the chance to ride alongside these magnificent creatures on the surreal Krug plateau and set up camp on a nearby everglade for a close encounter. This offers ample opportunities to observe their behavior and capture unforgettable photos. The horses often approach the camp out of curiosity or because they are used to receiving salt and food from visitors. Following this unique experience, your group will head to a nearby hotel, followed by a tasting of wine and Livanja cheese, considered the best in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Knebu Winery, an organic winery located at a high altitude, will be your destination. It's known for its unique wines influenced by dramatic weather extremes and significant day-night temperature differences, especially in the varieties of Chardonnay and Traminac.

Blidinje Nature Park

On this spectacular day, you'll journey to Blidinje, a wild mountain plateau offering endless flat expanses perfect for cantering and galloping along Blidinje Lake. The day concludes at Hajdučke Vrleti (Haiduk's crags) restaurant, where you'll unwind and enjoy local cuisine and wine. After this last riding day, your horses will be transported in a horse truck back to the Lazy Horse Equestrian Center. You'll have the opportunity to change and head to a local spa for swimming, sauna, steam rooms, and a well-deserved massage. The evening will feature a selection of wines from each winery, offering you the chance to savor the best of Herzegovina at a Bosnian "gala dinner."
