What To Expect
Komani Lake & Shala River & Valbona

Shala River
Shala River is a major touristic attraction in Albania with many dubbing it as the Thailand of Europe and similar epithet even though I'd prefer to take this with modesty. To get to Shala River we take the boat at Komani Tunnel boat station and a 1 hour boat trip will finally get us to the crystal clear waters of Shala River. After arrival there will be around 2 hours of free time for everyone of you to enjoy a swim or do kayaking in this location, there is also a zip line and also some improvised sport fields to play volley.

Komani Lake
Komani Lake will be important part of our first day of the tour as we take the boat to go to Shala River during the first part of day and latter we continue towards Fierze as we finish with the lake. Along with beautiful landscapes where mountains mix with water we will enjoy a traditional lunch at an agritourism which is in middle of Komani Lake.

Valbona
Village of Valbona will be our overnight stop during the first day, we will accommodate at hotel/guesthouse and enjoy being surrounded by Albanian Alps. One of the attractions we will stop for a few minutes will be 'The OId Mill', famous for tourists and once an important location for the village as it used to produce the corn flour. Around 8 pm we will have a traditional dinner and learn some Albanian dance as we listen to folkloric music.

Hiking Valbona Theth

Valbona - Teth - Hiking Trail
This day is very important in our itinerary, we will take the hiking trail from Valbona to Theth. The night before you should get some advices from the Guide who will explain the basic rules for the walking/hiking. Day starts by taking an offroad jeep which will take us closer to the start of trail and also skip the car road which needs extra hours of walking. After we start the hike we will enjoy the nature as we walk in a comfortable rhythm for everyone. We will have some stops along the way at ecologic coffee bars built near the top of mountain to consume a refreshing drink or mountain tea along with the picnic. At the end of trail a Jeep will take us to send near the Blue Eye.

Blue Eye of Theth
At the end of the hike from Valbona a Jeep taxi will take us to send near the Blue Eye, we will walk a further 20-30 minutes to get to this natural attraction. After arriving at Blue Eye we will have some minutes to relax. Swimming is possible but the water is very cold. After we finish with the Blue Eye we will walk back to our Jeep taxi which will take us to the hotel/guesthouse.

Theth Waterfall

Grunasi Waterfall
After breakfast we start walking for around 35 minutes to another important attraction in Theth which is the waterfall. The road is easy and after arriving we have some minutes for photos, return from same road to the guesthouse where the Van will pick us to Shkoder.

Theth
On our return from the waterfall we stop for around 30 minutes at this cultural attraction of the area, the 'Isolation Tower' . Once it had the function of the court , here you will learn about 'Kanuni' and the way of living in this area from medieval times to modern. The owner Sokol is an original inheritor of the tower and he will be waiting for us as original as he is.

Shkoder
Our tour is nearing it's end, after the drive from Theth we arrive in Shkoder where we will have the lunch at one of the restaurant near the center. Enjoy the food and get ready to say goodbye to each.
