Join us for an immersive experience, taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the real locations where important events took place. This historical educational tour provides a comprehensive overview of the history of Cosa Nostra, including its actual origins, contrasted with the myths about it.
This tour includes visits to 14 important sites, including 3 major crime sites. But the value of this tour is in its powerful and inspiring storytelling, offering a deep dive into the lives of extraordinary individuals and organizations that fought and continue to fight against the mafia.
During this tour we enjoy an apericena in Palermo’s most beautiful garden. Afterward, we will visit one final important site and conclude our evening with a stop at a gourmet gelateria.

What To Expect
Ruderi Casa Natale Giovanni Falcone
Meet in front of the restaurant "Ciccio Passami l'Olio." Across from this restaurant is a plaque marking the birthplace of the famous anti-mafia lawyer Giovanni Falcone, one of the subjects of our tour. Your tour guide will be waiting for you by that plaque. On this tour we will visit three major crime sites and pass by many other sites of importance to the ongoing anti-mafia struggle in Palermo.

Oratorio di San Lorenzo
The first of three major crime scenes that we will visit. The theft of Caravaggio’s Nativity with San Lorenzo and San Francesco is still listed as one of the FBI's Top Ten Art Crimes. I will tell you what Falcone discovered during his anti-mafia interrogations.

Via Vittorio Emanuele
We will stop at the Punto Pizzo Free shop to learn about the Pizzo Free group's mission to support Sicilian businesses that refuse to pay mafia extortion money and wonderful products from all over Sicily.

Piazza Marina
We will learn about the famous Italian American police officer Joe Petrosino and visit the site where he was murdered in Piazza Marina.

Casa di Paolo
We will visit what was the Borsellino family pharmacy and today is a community center dedicated to supporting local families and preventing mafia recruitment in the Kalsa neighborhood.

Villa Giulia is the most beautiful garden in Palermo. We will stop here and enjoy their delicious "apericena" before proceeding to a gourmet gelateria and passing by our last important crime site.

Il Murales che celebra Falcone e Borsellino
Our tour ends here, across the street from the iconic mural celebrating Falcone and Borsellino, two of the anti-mafia heroes we learn about in depth during our tour.
