Why book with A wee pedal? We are Visit Scotland's award winning 'Best outdoor experience' praised for high quality guest experience whilst supporting the local community. This cycle tour is unique; a 20 mile carefully planned route, mostly off road, seeing the Edinburgh most visitors miss. We have no need to use vehicles as we start right on the cycle path and are proudly named a zero-carbon company. Groups are kept small for high guest experience and safety and you'll learn about this ancient city whilst having a lot of fun with our qualified and experienced guides. You will start right in the heart of Craigmillar Castle grounds, close to the city centre and easily accessed by foot, bus, taxi or car (there is free on-site parking) E-bikes can be hired at an additional cost of £20pp cash on the day. Please let me know if you would like this option. (If you think you would prefer a shorter tour, please check out our 'family-friendly cycle tour to the coast' 12 miles, 3 hours)
There is FREE on-site parking. You will see me with the bikes as you enter the grounds. Head towards to main building if you don't see me.

This unique tour is 20 miles and on mostly traffic free cycle paths. If you require an E-bike at an additional £20pp, please request at time of booking: We will start on a cycle path all the way onto The Union Canal passing canal boats, original 19th Century bridges and rowers out training. We drop down onto a cycle ramp taking us on The Water of Leith. This is a beautiful walkway/cycle path passing under aqueducts, allotments, the rejuvenated Saughton Park with original Bandstand. Passing Scotland's National Rugby Stadium - Murrayfield. We continue towards Dean Village which is a World Heritage site. See Thomas Telfer's bridge and the original Edinburgh School Board house. Leith is now on the horizon and we shall stop for a refreshment right beside the famous harbour. We continue further round heading towards Portobello Beach where you see shall Fife over the Firth of Forth Estuary. Our final landmark is the impressive 1860 built 'Innocent Tunnel' railway path.
