Learn about history and tradition of Bolzano as a wine town, the cradle of the Lagrein and Santa Maddalena indigenous grapes. Walking around the historical center your sommelier will tell you stories related to the wine trade and how monasteries played and important role in the region's wine growing tradition.

Learn about the indigenous grapes, Lagrein and Santa Maddalena, which vineyards are grown around the city and extend until the historical center. You private sommelier with explain the different wine varieties and techniques that makes each South Tyrolean wines different and guide you through your first wine tasting. Stop at local wine shop located on the lovely square and taste two premium quality Italian wines.
30 Minutes • Admission Ticket Free

At your second wine shop, you will have the chance to taste two South Tyrolean wines with local snacks. At the end of your tasting, you’ll have the opportunity to purchase your favorite wines, then you can continue the night in the heart of central Bolzano, close to bars, restaurants and sights, or return to the starting point with your guide.
