Overview
It is a comprehensive visit to Plaka offering all the information needed to know the most touristic place in Athens, with vivid descriptions and intriguing short stories.
We will visit Byzantine Churches and see mosques. We will discuss the stories that frescoes tell about the struggle of the Orthodox against Islam and their torture. We will visit a monastery in the middle of the capital. Both Byzantine and Islamic history gave Athens its modern identity. The tour is suitable for people who want to learn new cultures or are accustomed to the Ottoman and Christian interaction
