This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Osaka is famous for being a culinary haven, so it’s the perfect place to take a cooking class and learn how to prepare traditional Japanese foods. Masato started his restaurant career introducing Hawaiian food to the Japanese, and now he’s introducing Takoyaki, Osaka's signature dish, to traveler’s visiting Japan. In your 3 hours hands-on Japanese cooking class, learn to make 2-3 dishes from scratch. If you choose the sushi class, learn to make maki sushi, chirashi sushi, temari sushi and California roll. If you choose the character bento class, learn to make totoro or pikachu and karaage (fried chicken). You can also learn to make Japanese curry rice or takoyaki (a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special molded pan). So please let Masato know your menu preference at the time of booking your Osaka cooking class. After cooking, enjoy the meal you helped prepare which will be served with Japanese cheesecake and green tea.
