Overview
This is a fun private tour for all ages. On our unique route in peaceful villages around Hoi An, we'll take the paths less traveled. You'll meet the locals to see how they live on a daily basis, catch a glimpse of local lifestyles. Your interactions with genuine local people are truly memorable:
Cross Thu Bon river, visit Cam Kim island, grind rice, make rice papers & snacks, sit down to enjoy.
Visit Tra Nhieu fishing village, help a local family weave colorful straw mats.
Visit a unique whale worshiping temple of local fishermen. Enjoy Vietnamese coffee with river views.
Drive on high bridges, see fish farms, shrimp farms, rice paddies, cow herds.
Visit Cam Thanh water coconut forest, enjoy a relaxing trip in round basket boat down the river.
Visit Tra Que vegetable village, take pictures of water buffaloes, farmers, local herbs & veggies.
Tour with meal is 5,5 hours ; Without meal is 4,5 hours.
Two vehicle options: Vintage American army jeep / Modern car or van with air conditioning.

Free pick up from the hotel in Da Nang City Center. However, we don't offer free pickup from these hotels: InterContinental Resort or Da Nang Mikazuki Japanese Villas & Spa. Because of the long distance to the city center, please meet our team at the Dragon Bridge to start the tour.

Cam Kim Island
We'll cross the bridge over Thu Bon river to visit Cam Kim island, learn about daily life of the islanders. Meet a 65 year-old couple, help them grind rice, use rice milk to make rice papers. Sit down to enjoy local snacks called Banh Dap and Banh Beo.

Tra Nhieu Fishing Village
Drive past rice paddies, corn fields and cow herds. Ride along the river bank to see fishing boats. Visit a unique temple built by fisherman in Tra Nhieu village to worship Giant Whales.

Visit traditional house of a 70-year-old couple, sit down with them, learn to make colorful bed mats from river reeds. Catch a glimpse of local lifestyle in this fishing village.

Cam Thanh
Visit Cam Thanh water coconut village, hop in the Round Basket Boat, a local fisherman will take you on a relaxing boat trip under the shade of coconut trees. You will use a fishing rod to catch some river crabs for fun. Then we'll drive along the beautiful road with many coconut trees, take pictures of water buffaloes roaming in the fields.

Tra Que Vegetable Village
We'll have a quick visit at Tra Que vegetable village to see local farmers growing different vegetables in their gardens. It's a great chance to take pictures, smell amazing herbs and learn about traditional farming methods. Then we'll drive to a nice restaurant, or to Hoi An old town. NOTE: Tour with or without meal at different prices and durations, please check when booking.
