Mount Lagazuoi is set in a magnificent position above the Cortina d'Ampezzo basin. During the First World War it was the site of fierce fighting. To conquer the Austrian summit the Italians built a long tunnel, which emerged a few meters below the summit itself. Equipped with harness, helmet and headlamp we will first visit the Italian trenches and then, going up the tunnel, we will reach the top. After stopping at the Lagazuoi refuge for lunch, we will descend along the Kaiserjager path, an easy ferrata (suitable for everyone) that follows the Austrian walkways and trenches. An exciting suspension bridge will be the icing on the cake of this day!
An experience that cannot surely miss in your tour of the Dolomites!
It is also possible to get off the Lagazuoi refuge by cable car, which will take us directly back to the starting point.
