Karatay Medresesi Museum

Karatay madrasa Sultan II. It was built by Emir Celaleddin Karatay during the reign of İzzeddin Keykavus in 649 Hijri (1251 AD). The architect is unknown. The madrasa, which was also used during the Ottoman period, dates back to the 19th century. It was abandoned at the end of the century. Karatay madrasah, which has an important place in the tile workmanship of the Anatolian Seljuk period, was opened to visitors in 1955 as the 'tile works museum'. In the Karatay museum, wall tiles, tiles and glass plates, which are among the excavation finds of the Kubat-Abad palace on the edge of Lake Beyşehir, and Seljuk and Ottoman artefacts found in Konya and its region. Tile and ceramic plates, oil lamps and plaster finds from the period are exhibited.

Kultur Park Alaeddin Tepesi

The cultural park, which was built on an area of ​​approximately 150,000 m2 by demolishing Konya's old courthouse and preserving the historical texture around it, has become the center of attraction of the city. The cultural park, which was opened with a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on December 17, 2009, has become a recreation area in the center of the city. Culture Park offers people a nice rest opportunity with its green areas and fountain pool.
